Biography
Mr. Freire leads the firm’s Labor Law team, bringing extensive expertise in labor matters related to M&A operations, IPOs, international personnel transfers, and general litigation. He specializes in expatriate employee regularization, executive compensation, structuring stock options, internal policies, incentive plans (long and short terms), and profit-sharing schemes. Mr. Freire also assists companies with cross-border employee transfers, both inbound and outbound, ensuring smooth transitions.
His expertise extends to developing effective compliance programs, conducting investigations, and drafting policies on ethics, employee conduct, and sexual harassment. He is also skilled in crafting “use of work tools” policies and delivering employee training. Mr. Freire’s litigation experience includes defending employers in labor courts and before government agencies like the Ministry of Labor and Public Attorney Office for labor matters and employee unions.
